I'm not going to dance around it; Streets of Rage 4 is one of the finest releases on Switch in 2020 and should be considered a must-own for anybody who is a Streets of Rage or really any kind of beat-em-up fan.The visuals are splendid; the art style is sublime and the animation is absolutely top-notch! The game also runs excellently, to boot!The controls are tight and responsive as you go through all 12 levels. I must also give kudos to the developers for allowing plenty of control customization, as not enough developers do this!The music and general sound design is also outstanding! Even if you find the music not to your taste, you have the option of using music straight from the first 2 Streets of Rage titles.With 5 difficulty levels, many playable characters, and multiple modes of play, this game has a lot of replay-ability.It's absolutely worth every penny.

I remember being a kid playing Streets of Rage 2 on my brother's Sega Genesis! This game reminds me of that old school feeling! Good game!

Streets of rage 4 is the best arcade beat em up I have seen so far on the switch from the polished graphics, characters, pick up items, and music. Highly recommend this game to add to your library if you like beat em ups.

This is a wonderful game to have on the switch!it runs at 60fps and looks just as good as the the console and steam version. Yes I know steam you can up the visuals but for this game is not needed and for the genesis sprites don't look any better imo also its a physical copy with a nice keyring and mini art book its then next best thing as I was too slow and missed out on the really cool special edition that had a Sega genesis box and cartbut yeah it plays like just like the other versions AND is portable.defiantly might be the version to own in this case...unless you care about trophies and achievements it is the switch after all

The updated graphics bring the streets of rage series into the modern day, but the gameplay, soundtrack and controls will feel very familiar for fans of the original sega classics.

Streets of Rage 4 is a great addition to the series. The game play is familiar with new moves and characters. The art style is nice but I know some would prefer the 16-Bit art more. The music in the game is very nice dance music. The game lets you unlock so much extras and that is a good feature for replay value. This is a great game in the beat'em up genre. Overall the game is excellent and hopefully they make another sequel soon.

I love arcade game as a guy born in 90s. That was the golden tome for arcade games . If you wanna feel the old time with new graphic , this is your go to game. The action and combo system are nice. You. Can unlock more characters if you as you proceed with the story. You could replay over and over with different characters and unique skills. Worth the money and time

I remember as a kid playing all Streets of Rage games for my Sega Genesis, and to be honest they kept it to the original series as much as possible but with HD graphics and new enemies... Awesome game, if you were born in the 90’s like me and remember playing this game all you gonna wish is why didn’t they add more levels...

This is a great game for fans of the classic beat 'em up series and newcomers alike. The publisher included a keychain and art book, which are great bonuses. I bought this as a gift and the recipient really enjoyed it.

If you like beat 'em ups, or are a fan of the original 3 releases, buy this game!! So much replayablility, great extras and it continues the legacy of the original trilogy. I love, love, love the soundtrack. I listen to it on Soptify regularly. Picky this up!

Awesome sequel that is very worthy of the streets of rage name. Great story with all your favorite characters from the saga. The graphics are fantastic along with the move set for all the characters, and portable, thanks to the switch! Pick this one up!

They new graphics are great in this game. Controls are easy to learn. Your basic beat em up game. If you played the old sega games and liked them you’ll love this but you don’t need to have played previous SOR games to enjoy this one. Would recommend.

Hands down the best brawler out there at the moment. Excellent music, beautiful graphics and the combat is just too sweet. Whether you are new to the genre or a veteran, you will be able to jump right in by yourself or with a friend and start pummeling the trash on the streets. Returning characters from previous games as well as a few new faces keep this fresh as well as a risk/reward special move system that lets you do massive damage while giving you the opportunity to win back your health if you can continually hit enemies without getting hit. Multiple playthroughs allow you to unlock new character sprites and other extras. Balanced difficulty and a fun ride.If you love brawlers or if you are interested in what the hype is about this genre, this is the game to pick up.

Got this game and it’s so fun to have a 4 player game like this to spend a few hours playing with friends. It was a great game with great music and gameplay. It was a blast.

Excellent brawler and the one all fans of Street of Rage have been waiting for! Controls are responsive, challenging, and easily replayable!

I wasn't very familiar with this game series until now, since I recently acquired my Switch console. The visuals and aesthetic are unique and just plain fun to look at. Each character has unique moves, and the moves are fairly easy to learn, speaking as a middle-aged adult who does not regularly play more modern games. It's difficult to find people online to play, but playing with friends and family is a lot of fun, albeit having to wait out the occasional slooooow down during battle mode.
